Antonio Portuondo is the Municipal Corporate Trust Leader for Western Alliance Trust Company, N.A. In this role, he manages the organization’s national municipal corporate trust business, providing sales and relationship management and client service. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, he serves clients nationwide.
Mr. Portuondo brings a broad array of corporate trust experience, including client service and regulatory expertise. Before joining Western Alliance in 2025, he spent nine years as president and chairperson of the Board at The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, N.A., a wholly owned subsidiary of BNY Mellon, consisting of the Asset Servicing, Corporate Trust and Clearing and Collateral Management businesses. During his previous 15 years at BNY Mellon, he managed its Corporate Trust Public Finance business, where he served as the Public Finance Chief Administration Officer, initiating and leading strategic initiatives while managing its Best Practices program and holding a variety of other roles.
Mr. Portuondo is a frequent speaker and panelist for conferences and events both nationally and regionally. He has served as a member of the American Bankers Association Corporate Trust Advisory Board and board member for the Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) and has been a member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and Florida Government Finance Officers Association (FGFOA).
He holds a Master of Public Administration from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida.
